Auburn RSL buffet

The good 'ol buffet is the ultimate in suburban dining. My family trekked out to Auburn RSL for an all-you-can-eat buffet, and the place was PACKED! In terms of buffet, this one was pretty good with the variety of seafood; oysters, prawns, mussels, and crab. And as usual, kids were running around hitting each other, people pushed in line, and made competitive grabs for the serving spoons.

Also, in true buffet style, my mother took a lot of the food with her after the meal. Now, I want some validation here that my family isn't the only one that does this. In total my mum took:

5 mandarins

Slice of beef for my dog (wrapped conveniently in a plastic bag brought along for such a situation)

Bread and butter pudding

Chocolate mint slice

Chocolate hedgehog slice

It's really funny also to see my mum hiding food as if on some covert mission! Bless her cotton socks.

Auburn RSL also fulfilled the concept that 'family' dining really means that the food is shit but there sure is a lot of it!
